- Q.BAT Instructions
-
- Located within one of the self-extracting archives on the new enclosed
- "ProDev*QUOTE Utility Programs" disk is the Q.BAT BATch file. If you are
- using 3.5 inch disks, this file is on the ProDev*QUOTE Program disk. This
- Q.BAT file will be placed in the \PDS sub-directory by the UINSTALL
- program. This file will allow you to run any of the ProDev*QUOTE programs
- from WITHIN another of the ProDev*QUOTE programs. If you have not done so
- already, place the ProDev*QUOTE Utility disk in drive A: and type . . .
-
- A: (Enter)
- UINSTALL (Enter)
-
- The following instruction for the Q.BAT file will work ONLY ON A HARD DISK
- and will NOT work if you are using a DOS Shell menu system that only
- allows you to run .COM and .EXE type programs. If your menu system is
- limited to only .COM and .EXE files, I suggest that you call
- 1-800-662-4330 and order Magee Enterprises AUTOMENU.
-
- To run the QUOTE.EXE, QTRACK.EXE, QBROWSE.EXE and EPRICE.EXE (if you
- ordered it) programs, perform the following . . .
-
- CD\PDS
- Q 1 (Enter) to run the QUOTE program
- or
- Q 2 (Enter) to run the QTRACK program
- or
- Q 3 (Enter) to run the QBROWSE program
- or
- Q 4 (Enter to run the EPRICE program
-
- BE SURE TO TYPE A SPACE AFTER THE "Q" AND BEFORE 1, 2, 3 or 4.
-
- Any of the above commands will run the Q.BAT file. The desired program
- will be run from the batch file. From within the program, the "Quit" Menu
- now has selections to run either of the other two programs. The program
- will stuff either 1, 2, 3 or 4 into the DOS Errorlevel when the program is
- Quit with the new menu selections. Since DOS ran the program from within
- the Q.BAT file, DOS goes back to the next statement in the Q.BAT file to
- execute the next command in the Q.BAT file. The IF ERRRORLEVEL statement
- in the Q.BAT file will branch to run another of the Quote programs.
-
- If you select the Quit option, you will be returned to the DOS prompt. If
- you wish to look at the Q.BAT file, just type . . .
-
- TYPE Q.BAT (Enter)
-
- If you are running your hard disk with a menu, edit the end of the Q.BAT
- file and add CD\ and the command to run your menu program. You can use
- EDLIN or any ASCII editor to edit the Q.BAT file.
-
- If you have established Multi-State Tax and Labor Rate files per Appendix
- C of the QUOTE.DOC manual, type Q 1 ST (Enter) and substitute the 2
- character State Code for ST.

- Thank You,
